The Gaeltacht
This is the term used to refer to those areas of Ireland where the Irish language (Gaeilge) is still spoken as a community language and its cultures and traditions are very much alive and thriving. Gallarus Holiday Cottage is in the heart of the West Kerry Gaeltacht

Directions
Approximately 6.5 km / 4 miles from Dingle Town Take the Slea Head or Ballyferriter route from Dingle (At roundabout take the 1st exit onto the R559). Pass over the Milltown bridge, take first right hand turn onto the Ballyferriter Road (signposted Murreagh or Ballyferriter R559). Continue along this road for about 5 km / 3 miles until you come to the top of the hill. At the top of the hill there is a junction of roads. Take the road for Ballyferriter and then a sharp right hand turn. The cottage is the second house on the left. Ring for directions if lost.

Gallarus Holiday Cottage has a fantastic central location on the Dingle peninsula, which means the surrounding villages of Ventry, Ballyferriter, Ballydavid and Dingle town are all within a ten minute drive away. The location makes the cottage an ideal base to enjoy all the attractions of the famous Dingle peninsula.
